Some people will find today’s message encouraging and full of hope. Some people will find it alarming and dreadful. Some people may even be offended and some will disregard this as they do a fairy tale or absolute foolishness or lies and not even worthy of their time. The latter of which will still realize that truth is absolute someday. “That Day” is not so far off no matter what ones point of view. There is a saying which nearly everyone agrees;
“Tis impossible to be sure of anything but Death and Taxes.” – Benjamin Franklin
When I woke this morning I glanced out my bedroom window and caught a glimpse of the makings of a beautiful sunrise. I tried as best I could to capture what I saw with my camera (OnePlus Nord N100 running Android 11). Unfortunately, in just a few minutes the dramatic dark orange to yellow to light blue sky transitions were gone. Maybe someone else captured it. No doubt others witnessed it. The fact that it happened is now debatable. Some folks were unaware even though they were alive for the event. They just weren’t in the right place at the right time or they were distracted by something else. Nothing bad, just life’s other events. Worthy things like getting the kids ready, tending to hygiene, getting coffee – Priorities people!
Matthew 24:32-35 – The Lesson of the Fig Tree – English Standard Version
32 “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates. 34 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
Matthew 24:3-14 – Signs of the End of the Age – English Standard Version
3 As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” 4 And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. 5 For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.
9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. 10 And then many will fall away[a] and betray one another and hate one another. 11 And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. 12 And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2(a) – A Time for Everything
“For everything there is a season, a right time for every intention under heaven —
a time to be born and a time to die…”
Hebrews 9:24-28 – Amplified Classic Edition
24 For Christ (the Messiah) has not entered into a sanctuary made with [human] hands, only a copy and pattern and type of the true one, but [He has entered] into heaven itself, now to appear in the [very] presence of God on our behalf.
25 Nor did He [enter into the heavenly sanctuary to] offer Himself regularly again and again, as the high priest enters the [Holy of] Holies every year with blood not his own.
26 For then would He often have had to suffer [over and over again] since the foundation of the world. But as it now is, He has once for all at the consummation and close of the ages appeared to put away and abolish sin by His sacrifice [of Himself].
27 And just as it is appointed for [all] men once to die, and after that the [certain] judgment,
28 Even so it is that Christ, having been offered to take upon Himself and bear as a burden the sins of many once and [d]once for all, will appear a second time, not to carry any burden of sin nor to deal with sin, but to bring to full salvation those who are [eagerly, constantly, and patiently] waiting for and expecting Him.
My Point
Given current geo-political landscape and events, the recent wonderous appearance of things in the upper atmospheres, the widespread persecution of Christians, Jihad being declared, Israel’s extreme decreased state of peace, children being bought and sold to no end for the pleasure of evil, flagrant disregard for the natural order of things to include (at birth gender assignment, environmental atrocities, genetically modified crops which does not reproduce, et cetera), et cetera! Folks it looks like the end of our age, this age, all ages is very near! The argument for “relative truth” isn’t even mathematically sound. The laws of physics we rely on everyday for basic survival could not exist if TRUE could equal FALSE. The devices that run our lives, sadly, would never work as expected. Source: I was a programmer, classically trained, professionally employed in a government setting.
The bottom line is this. Either you and I are going to die at an unknow, inconvenient time or Jesus is returning to exact judgement. I pray you are ready for either occasion. I Am.
NOTE: Concerning formatting, I chose to put the thoughts that provoked me in bold italics. I also am experimenting with the side-by-side layout as that is also how I saw them when I woke this morning.
Thanks for reading.
